Back in 2019, I took my Ford GT out to the United States and built the most amazing memories with it, a huge part of establishing its place as a permanent Shmeemobile. Since then, I've bought the Shelby GT500 and had it in the US for 2 years, taken over the AMG GT Black Series for a tour across 30 States, and even took out the Zenvo last summer for Monterey Car Week. However, with some exciting things on the horizon, it is time for the Ford GT to head back out and that means getting it ready to go.

Today we're transporting it up to MyCarImport to load it into a container that will be taking the car on the way 'across the pond' ready for the first plans at Circuit of the Americas with the GT1 Sports Club by Curbstone. This is just going to be the start as you can bet Monterey Car Week is going to be involved, but that is only the beginning of the fun ahead.

In order to load it up, the most important thing is to disconnect the battery given the time it will be at sea, and to do this is a process that involves removing the battery, which firstly requires the front-right wheel and arch liner to be taken off to get behind.
