Wood's Edge: Archway (One of two companion journals)
6 inches wide by 8 1/2 inches tall. Spine is 3 inches wide. There are 186 pages of different sides when counting front and back surface of each page. Wood's Edge: Archway has 27 tags, 8 cards, 1 bookmark, and a few folded pieces of paper for more writing space. I hand tea-dyed the paper and hand tore the page edges. The centerfolds are sealed in polyeurathane matte varnish. I hope you will prop the centerfold open, light a candle, and meditate on the dreamy forest images.
I use an ivory, 70 pound paper for most of the pages. This is very sturdy and will allow use of colored pencils, fountain pens, and other art media.
The cover is of really sturdy cardboard (the boxes from coffee pods at Costco). Book binding tape makes flexible and longlasting seams. Fabric glue holds the fabric to the cover. A bit of looseness in the spine fabric allows the cover to open and close without pulling.
Tags are decorated with beaded loops of Toho and Czech glass seed beads.
