IE University is proud to announce the award of a UNESCO Chair in AI Ethics & Governance, led by Ted Lechterman, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at IE School of Humanities. To mark this significant milestone, Lechterman sat down with Dafna Feinholz, Chief of UNESCO's Bioethics and Ethics of Science and Technology Section, to discuss UNESCO’s approach to making AI a force for global positive change. Their thought-provoking discussion examines how ethical guidelines can balance consensus with accountability, the intriguing connections between bioethics and AI ethics, and the questions AI raises about global and intergenerational justice.
