Eyck Freymann is the author of One Belt One Road: Chinese Power Meets the World (Harvard University Press, 2020) and a doctoral candidate in China Studies at Balliol College, Oxford. He previously worked as a research assistant to Graham Allison at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government; to Niall Ferguson at the Hoover Institution, Stanford; and to Shi Zhiqin at Tsinghua University. He holds an MPhil from the University of Cambridge and AM and AB degrees cum laude with the highest honors from Harvard University.

Jacques deLisle is Director of FPRI’s Asia Program, Stephen A. Cozen Professor of Law, Professor of Political Science, and Director of the Center for the Study of Contemporary China at the University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in Chinese politics and legal reform, U.S-China relations, cross-strait relations, and China’s engagement with the international legal order.
