It’s a song that never gets tired - however many times I listen to it. And I’ve listened to it many many times! Turns out it’s also really fun to play on the guitar!

I dedicate this my version of Flashdance…What a Feeling! to the Wildwood Tribe of Melbourne, and especially to

Chloe who lights up every dance floor she graces with her presence
Justin without whom I never would have found my tribe
Whitney for channeling the spirit of your namesake that last night at Rainbow Serpent and setting the night on fire

Two years ago Justin invited me to join the Wildwood camp at Rainbow Serpent Festival and it was probably the best few days of my life. I decided then and there I would move to Australia and join this wild bright and beautiful collective of people who had so readily welcomed me into their family with open arms. But first I had a few things to wrap up in the UK… Two years later and Australia feels further away than it ever has and suffice to say I’ve not made it back.

I don’t know when or how but I trust that one day my exhale will end and I will return to my Wildwood family abs my beloved Australian home. And this time I will bring with me two new members - my amazing partner Felix and our son Roscoe.

Until then may we all walk in the sunlight smiling and sleep deeply under the peaceful stars.
