Been recently testing the @Hudabeauty faux filter luminous matte concealer in coconut flakes. I was nervous because a matte texture in a liquid form usually means a very dry concealer, but this surprised me.
I would describe the texture as soft matte, it definitely has a matte finish but it isn’t drying and it doesn’t accentuate fine lines. It’s quite thin and spreadable so those of you who love the feeling of a lightweight concealer will enjoy this.
It’s supposed to be a medium to buildable full coverage concealer but I wasn’t able to build it to full coverage so I’d say it’s a solid medium.
As you can see in the video, when I move my face the concealer doesn’t crease or settle into lines. Pretty impressive!
My only issue is the shade range, I wasn’t able to find a great match for me. Coconut flakes is too light and the others are too yellow on me. I feel like the shade range skews quite light because the next darkest shade is vanilla swirl, which is described as light medium. I would argue that coconut flakes is a fair shade, not light. If I found a better shade match I would definitely reach for this formula a lot!
It’s fragrance free, vegan, waterproof and sweat proof, alcohol free, and made with 30% PCR for $31.
