The act of drawing or painting was often banned in Far East POW camps. Many artistically-inclined prisoners risked severe punishment and even death, to secretly capture their experience on paper, finding all sorts of ingenious ways to keep work hidden.
So, how did they manage to keep it a secret? And could there still be artworks, waiting to be discovered?
