Hiking 55km through the Colombian Andes 🇨🇴 | Paramillo del Quindio Climb

Описание: Los Nevados National Park is located in central Colombia and contains some of the country's highest peaks. This video is a vlog from my three day adventure with Magic Trips Colombia to climb Paramillo del Quindio, a 4760m tall extinct volcano in the centre of the park. This is one of the most stunning hikes I have done anywhere in the world! Our journey begins in the small town of Salento, located just under an hours drive from the cities of Armenia and Pereira. The first day, we climb about 1500m to an altitude of 3400m at Argentina Farm, where we spend our first night. The opportunity to stay at an extremely rural, high-altitude farm in the Andes was amazing! The second day, we continue climbing, crossing the unique Paramo ecosystem until we reach the rocky tops above. Finally, we reach the summit of Paramillo del Quindio at 4760m above sea level. There wasn't much of a view at the top due to cloud cover, but it was still an epic experience. Our second night is spent at Finca La Playa, another remote farm located on the Paramo. On our third and final day, we return down the valley through the rainforest back to the Cocora Valley and Salento. Huge thank you to Rafael and Magic Trips Colombia for making this trip possible!!
