I went to the Tolga Bat Hospital in Queensland, Australia, thinking I was visiting a rescue center, but I left understanding that I inherited judgements that I didn't want at all.

For most of my life, I lived inside a "stupid little box" that I adopted as a child and never thought to question until now.

Bats aren't monsters, but I thought they were.

And I had to change that.
