Despite losing a qualifier to rain, the Orient Express Racing Pro Street class brought the thunder to Virginia Motorsports Park for the MTC Summer Nationals. A stacked field of 24 of the baddest turbo and supercharged bikes on the planet came to play, and the ETs did not disappoint.

Rodney Williford came out swinging in qualifying with a jaw-dropping 6.410 at 243.70 mph, locking down the #1 spot. Hot on his heels were DME Racing teammates Mark Rendeluk (6.412) and Jason Dunigan (6.424), with Jamie Lopes (6.529) and Jeremy Teasley (6.578) on liter bikes rounding out the top five.

The final was déjà vu at Virginia Motorsports Park, as Rodney Williford and Jason Dunigan once again lined up for a Pro Street showdown—just like the last time XDA hit VMP. But this time, the drama started before they even reached the lanes. When the call went out for finals, Dunigan’s bike wouldn’t fire during a last-minute systems check by team tuner Andy Sawyer. A wave of panic hit, and the DME Racing crew dove in, ripping off bodywork to track down the issue.

Meanwhile, in a true show of sportsmanship, Williford kept his machine parked at his pit, giving his opponent every opportunity to make the call. Thanks to hustle and teamwork, Dunigan’s bike came to life just in time, setting the stage for a final filled with intensity and mutual respect.

Despite the high-voltage anticipation as these two rivals rolled into the beams, Jason Dunigan jumped just a hair too soon—going red by -.004 and handing the win to Rodney Williford. But Williford didn’t just coast through the beams. He cranked out a scorching 6.38 at 230.96 mph—the quickest run of the event—as a bold reminder to the field: Pro Street still runs through him.

Two races. Two wins. Williford is rolling with momentum, and the rest of the class knows it.
