How I Got My First Software Engineering Internship

Описание: Getting a software engineering internship is hard, but I’m sure we will all get there someday. In this video, I’ll be sharing how I got my first ever software engineering internship before college - no co-op, no work experience, no official CS background. I definitely got quite lucky, but there are important things i felt helped a ton along the way which was why I made this video.

Long (verbose) resume tips:
Experience/Projects -
• Be extremely detailed in the quantitative impact: e.g. X% improvement
• Follow a generic structure: action, technology, impact
e.g. Implemented tests using Jest which improved code coverage from 80-90%.
• Chronological order, and make sure that you pick your top few internships/projects if you have too many
• Ensure that you have a story to tell/something to discuss if asked upon any experience
