Noise Gates are very popular for controlling unwanted sounds in podcasting, but the problem is, they don't really work that well. They'll remove parts of your dialogue while leaving in the coughs, sneezes, and other unwanted sounds that make it harder to listen to your show. I'm here to show you that you can ditch the noise gate and take control of your audio, and take control of your life with manual gating, and more specifically by using strip silence.

I've been told that manually cutting audio has taken people upwards of 3 HOURS for a 45 minute show. Well let me show you in real time (or sped up 10x) that a 2.5 hour show can be cleaned up and manually cut in JUST OVER 6 minutes! This ensures that ALL of the focus is kept on the speaker, and any bumping of the microphone, sniffling, keyboard strokes, and other nonsense is permanently deleted from your show!
