Learn how to hygienically empty and clean the clear bin on your Dyson V12 Detect Slim™ cordless vacuum. This video includes subtitles – turn them on for the most helpful viewing experience.
Your vacuum features Dyson’s point-and-shoot bin emptying mechanism, designed to drive out dust and debris in one action – no need to touch the dirt.
Maintenance steps:
Empty the bin once debris reaches the MAX mark – do not overfill.
Disconnect your machine from the charger before emptying.
Remove the wand using the red release button.
Hold the bin downwards and press the red bin release button firmly to open the base.
To clean, slide the bin off the runner and wipe with a damp, lint-free cloth.
Ensure all parts, including rubber seals, are completely dry before refitting.
Do not wash or submerge the clear bin or cyclone pack. Avoid using detergents, polishes, air
fresheners or dishwashers.
