To kick off the 2012 Summer Railfanning Series, the SFRM gang and I participated in one of my first official independent outings with them, a chase of the 141 FEC/CSX joint Office Car Special. Then, as the meat of the package is, I caught them pulling into Bayside in DOWNTOWN MIAMI on the PORT LEAD for the dinner stop at Los Ranchos, which lasted 2 hours yesterday evening! I even got to meet Mr. Hertwig as they found time to let the 92 passenger flock disembark. He is the president and CEO (not COO) of the FEC Railway company which has broken from RA a while back, and formerly had office with CSX Intermodal.
