DIY Road Trip: Paris to Mont-Saint-Michel (with stops at Versailles and Normandy)

This 24-Hour Road Trip was the Grand Finale to my summer in Europe. One day before I was scheduled to fly home, I made my way to Orly Airport and picked up a rental car. From there, I made my way to the Palace of Versailles... as you'll notice from the video, it was packed with people!! Amazing nonetheless! I then continued onward to Mont-Saint-Michel... a magical island topped by a gravity-defying abbey! Catching it at sunset was one of the most incredible things I've ever witnessed. I was also amazed when I was able to enter the abbey for a guided audio tour at night! Learning about the different stages the abbey has undergone through its history was really special. Next, I headed towards Normandy and made it an hour or so before needing some sleep. I found a safe place to crash out for 4-5 hours and then continued my journey. I was so close to Normandy at this point that I really wanted to fit it in, and I'm glad I did. This part of the trip was very humbling and made me grateful for the freedoms I have to travel.
