Ambae Volcano Update; Unusual Lava Fountains Generated, New Activity

Описание: Vanuatu's Ambae volcano just erupted, producing its highest number of satellite detected thermal signatures since a large eruption from 2017-2018. While unconfirmed, there appears to have been tall lava fountains and potentially even a new lava flow which erupted on February 12th. This would mark the volcano's only third lava flow in the last century, which is a bit unusual considering its recent activity.

Note: The occurrence of a lava flow or lava fountains on February 12th 2026 at the Ambae volcano in Vanuatu is not confirmed yet, just heavily implied in my opinion.

Note: Do NOT attempt getting as close to the Ambae volcano as shown in this video. This was done by trained professionals with proper equipment who had years of experience working with & getting close to volcanoes. Volcanoes are quite potentially dangerous.
