Описание:
On board the Paddle Steamer Waverley on the deck near the Needles.
Then we go below decks to see the triple expansion engine with Stephenson valve gears waiting to depart from Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.
The Second Engineer awaits the order to get underway, then pulls his levers to put it in forward gear, and get underway once more, this time to Portsmouth.
The smell of oil and steam and the heat makes the engine room the best place aboard, together with the pistons steady rhythm. Videoed from opposite side to previous Video.
