Ever since quarantine, home-brewing has become my daily driver. As it was harder to reach our local cafés, I started dabbling into espresso-making and fell quite deep into the rabbit hole.

The first time I spotted the Noon East Coffee Maker, I couldn't resist its aesthetically chic and retro exterior. Best of all, the attractively affordable price point was what sold me. I've had the machine for a month now and thought I'd share some in-depth review, honest pros and cons about the machine and how I worked around them in order to try and achieve cafe-quality drinks. Bear in mind, the freshness of beans, a quality grinder and good technique are huge factors in achieving this as well. Check out my feeble attempt (LOLOL) at breaking down and explaining how I steam milk in order to create latte art for my drinks.

Not mentioned in the video but I would highly recommend you replace the C2's original stainless steel burr with their Titanium Coated Burr if you're using it for espresso on a daily.

⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ Make sure it's not the Delonghi version and always ask the seller to confirm if you can use it for the Noon East.

TAKE NOTE: You will need an ESPRESSO capable grinder to be able to use a bottomless portafilter. Use a burr grinder. Avoid blade grinders. If you’re on a budget, i suggest you start with hand grinders. Most of them are even more capable than electric ones without having to rob a bank. 😆 Best to ask seller first before purchasing.
