Douglas Laing is an independent bottler with no distillery with an exceptional talent for knowing what goes together. Big Peat pulls from Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore, and Port Ellen, with each distillery assigned a specific role in the blend.
🍂 TASTING NOTES
Fresh and salty on the nose, then the peat kicks in — ash, sweet tar, beach bonfires. The palate is richer than the standard bottling, with that extra 2% doing real work. Finish is long, phenolic, and genuinely coastal. Salty liquorice, smoke, and Islay all the way down.
