Learn how to make a color fading checker with objects conservator, Abby! This activity will demonstrate how some colors fade when exposed to light. Conservators at LACMA use the knowledge of how colors fade to prevent light from damaging the artworks in the collection. At home, you can use color fading knowledge to make your own artwork!
Supplies:
1 sheet of paper
1 pair of scissors
1 pencil
Variety of coloring materials (markers, watercolors, paints)
