For half a century, American travel to and from Cuba has been fraught with political and economic difficulty. Though so close to us geographically, the people, culture, and history of Cuba can feel so far away. This includes its Jewish community. Join Rabbi Rebecca Rosenthal, Dr. Shira D. Epstein, and staff members from the JDC to learn about the culture, holiday practices, history, and challenges facing the Cuban Jews, past and present. For those who attend in-person, we will have delicious Cuban treats to nosh on!
