This is simply the deep level studying of what the competitors plan to do. What this model develops is an in depth analysis of the possible game plan of the competitor . In other words this is industry- wide intelligence gathering or gaming on the key competitor, done in order to do a thorough management level analysis on the strategy designed by the competitors.
By all means this is no new thinking. So much of business strategies are linked to long history of warfare and the type of deep reading of the enemy's strategies and pre-emptive action to counter them have been what most wars of the world have been about in the first place. Serious analysis of crucial aspects of #drivers,#strategies #capabilities and managementassumptions would pave the path for the business analyst to workout the strategies to compete with the rivals - both in the midterm and in the long term. The analysis being a continuous process would help the brand keep up with the emerging strategies of the competition .
