In this leg of our journey, we leave the Dutch–Belgian border region near Heerlen and continue south toward the heart of Normandy, France. Along the way, we drive through The Netherlands’ charming countryside, cross into Belgium for a short stretch, and then enter France — watching the scenery gradually change from flat landscapes to the rolling hills and historic towns of northern France.
