Over the years, Rolex has created some of the most iconic and recognizable bracelet designs of all time, and some of them have become almost as famous as the watches themselves. In this video, we put together a guide on all the different Rolex bracelets and straps options, both vintage and modern.

Oyster Bracelet
As the company’s oldest bracelet design and the one most frequently fitted to their watches, the Oyster bracelet has become a flagship Rolex characteristic. Not only is it featured on the greatest selection of timepieces, but it is also produced in the widest variety of metals, and fitted with every different style of Rolex clasp (Oysterclasp, Oysterlock, and Crownclasp). Oyster bracelets can be found on Rolex’s entire Professional watch range, as well as classic models like the Sky-Dweller, Datejust, Oyster Perpetual, and Day-Date. First introduced in the 1930s and characterized by its flat 3-piece link design, the Rolex Oyster bracelet will always be a core design element of the Rolex brand.

Jubilee Bracelet
First introduced in 1945, and designed specifically for Rolex’s Datejust collection, the Jubilee bracelet is characterized by its iconic semi-circular 5-piece link design. It provides a supple and comfortable fit on the wrist, and as a more refined and dressy bracelet option, the Jubilee has never been available on many of Rolex’s more purpose-built watch collections like the Submariner and Explorer. Jubilee bracelets can be found with concealed Crownclasps, Oysterlock safety clasps, or standard Oysterclasps, depending on the specific model to which they are fitted.

President Bracelet
For the 1956 release of the Day-Date, Rolex needed a new style of bracelet to mirror the prestige and functional beauty of their new flagship watch. Featuring semi-circular 3-piece links, the Rolex President bracelet has only ever been crafted from precious metals and can exclusively be found on Day-Date watches and some precious metal versions of the Lady-Datejust. The vast majority of Rolex President bracelets are fitted with concealed Crownclasps that lack any form of extension system, which makes for a seamless and highly refined appearance on the wrist.

Integrated Bracelets
With their flat, angular designs, these Rolex bracelets create an integrated appearance with the cases of their watches. Rolex produced Oyster, Jubilee, and President versions of their integrated bracelet; however, despite retaining the same general design language, these integrated versions were much more angular in structure, making for a more modern and contemporary aesthetic. Rolex’s integrated bracelets were developed in the 1970s specifically for their Oysterquartz models, and regardless of their style, all integrated Rolex bracelets are either fitted with standard fold-over or concealed clasps.

Pearlmaster Bracelet
The Rolex Pearlmaster bracelet epitomizes luxury, offering a rounded 5-piece link design that is only every constructed from either solid 18k gold or 950 platinum. Originally designed in 1992 specifically for the Lady Pearlmaster Datejust, this exclusive bracelet features a high-polish finish, and is often set with diamonds or other gemstones. Pearlmaster bracelets are always fitted with a concealed Crownclasp, and are only found on luxury-oriented versions of the Rolex Datejust and Day-Date.

Leather Strap
Some of the very first Rolex watches were sold with leather straps. Today, while metal bracelets are the standard on most Rolex watches, certain collections like the Sky-Dweller, Daytona, Day-Date, and Datejust can also be purchased from the factory with leather straps. While leather straps harken back to the oldest Rolex watches, today they are fitted with modern Oysterclasps or Oysterlock safety clasps for a superior hold on the wrist.

Oysterflex Bracelet
As one of the most innovative straps made by Rolex, the Oysterflex is made from a nickel or titanium core with a black Elastomer outer body. A vented cushion system on the underside (to help with weight distribution as well as airflow and skin breathability) serves a practical purpose on watches like the Rolex Everose Yacht-Master and some gold versions of the Daytona. The Oysterflex strap is completed on an Oysterlock safety clasp with a 5mm Easylink extension system.
