Two mares participate in the same indoor enrichment walk, yet engage in notably different ways. One mare is blind and primarily sound-led in how she gathers information. The other engages through regulation-seeking strategies that have been intentionally taught over time.
Across stations, the focus is not on performance or outcomes, but on how each horse approaches, investigates, pauses, seeks support, and reorganizes behavior within the same enrichment context.
Enrichment does not look the same for every horse. Learning history shapes how horses engage, regulate, and interact with the same opportunities.
