In this lecture, I have discussed the aziridine preparation from alkene as well as an epoxide. This reaction utilized reactive nitrogen species (nitrene) as intermediate and resulted in the formation of three-member ring analogue of an epoxide. I have provided a detailed mechanism for each and every reaction. Additionally, I have discussed the asymmetric version of this reaction in the presence of chiral ligands which ends up is good stereo-selectivity. I have provided the links of some related videos.
