I saw my first Smart Doll in person about two years ago when I was at a doll fair and I was very impressed by the overall look, but at the time dismissed her as an expensive doll I could probably never own. As I was hunting around online a little while ago I stumbled upon the Smart Doll again and was enticed to do a bit of research, which showed me that although she isn't a cheap doll, she is more affordable than I had expected, snap, a few weeks later my first Smart Doll is landing on my doorstep!
I haven't had a doll quite like this... well, ever! Though I did own resin BJDs many years ago and she does remind me of them in the size and aesthetic, but the build, structure and feel are very different.
This is genuinely the most excited I have been in an incredibly long time to open a box and, well, you know me - doll box openings excite me! This one in particular I just couldn't wait for as there is something about this doll that is just very different from anyone else in my collection. So let's discover!
