BASIC METHODOLOGY FOR CHRISTIAN COUNSELLING STEPS 3 & 4. In the third of a 4-part module, this session continues to develop a methodology for Christian counselling by addressing Steps 3 & 4, which are ‘pinpointing the root problem’ and ‘introducing the biblical perspective’ respectively. Often, what is presented to the counsellor is not the true problem, but a presentation problem. The counsellor’s goal is to pinpoint the ‘root’ problem, then introduce what the Scriptures say about that root problem.
