With the industry growing a deeper understanding of traditional construction processes in recent years, this has lead to an emergence of ideas for optimisation and waste reduction. In this webinar we used 3DEXPERIENCE DELMIA to assess the impact and feasibility of using an near site micro-factory to lean out the traditional drywall installation processes. We demonstrated how to design and optimise the micro-factory layout, and how DELMIA can be used to identify and simulate lean opportunities created from pre-fab micro factories. By simulating the micro factories material flow from goods in to point of installation delivery detecting, businesses can evaluate the KPI’s associated with opportunities such as micro-factories.
