Definition or Description: Hebrews 11: 1-3
Assurance of things hoped for.
Faith and hope go together.
Object of our hope = object of our faith.
Assurance is confidence, certainty, free from doubt.
By faith God’s promises will be fulfilled
Conviction of things not seen.
Evidence KJV.
Eyes of our body, eyes of our mind.
If we can see, we don’t need faith.
Blessed are those who do not see - John 20: 24-29.
Abraham believed - James 2 :23; Genesis 15 :6.
We believe God raised Jesus - Romans 10 :9-10.
Only way to please God - Hebrews 11: 6.

Triumphs of Faith
Successes?

Great things by faith.
Noah built an ark.
Abraham and Sarah had Isaac.
Daniel’s friends in the furnace.

Terrible things - Hebrews 11: 35b-40.

Not accepting their release - Hebrews 11 :35.
Our God is able to deliver - Daniel 3:16-17.
Even if He does not - Daniel 3: 18.
By faith, men of old gained approval - Hebrews 11: 2.
Including those that were sawn in two.
They lived by faith and were rewarded - vs. 6.
