Walk with me along Shaw Boulevard, a major thoroughfare that stretches approximately 5.6 kilometers from Mandaluyong City to Pasig City, Philippines. A significant transportation artery which provides access to various parts of Metro Manila, it intersects with major roads such as EDSA, Pioneer Street, and C-5.
Formerly known as Jose Rizal Boulevard and Pasig Boulevard or commonly known as Crossing, it is named after William James Shaw, the founder of the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong City.
One will find numerous shopping malls, office buildings, hotels, and restaurants along Shaw Boulevard. It serves as one of the gateways to Ortigas Center, one of the major central business districts in Metro Manila. Popular commercial establishments include Shangri-La Plaza, Starmall, and SM Megamall, which are among the largest malls in the country.
