Amla Pickle - Usirikaya Pachadi
Ingredients:-
Amla( Usirikaya) - 500g
(Washed)
Oil - 2 cups
Chilli powder- 3/4 cup
Salt -1/4 cup
Mustard- 2 tb spn
Cumin - 1 tsp
Methi / Fenugreek- 1 tsp
Garlic - 1 bulb(peeled & crushed)
Lemon - 3(big size)75ml
For Tempering:
Mustard- 1/2 tsp
Cumin - 1/2 tsp
Dried Red Chillies - 5
Curry Leaves- 2 sprigs
Turmeric- 1 tsp
Hing - 1/2 tsp
Method:-
Wash & steam amla for 20 mins. Let it cool & petal them as shown.
Then fry the amla in oil.
Add tempering ingredients to the same oil & let it cool.
Add spice powders to amla , mix it well & add tempered oil.
Once it’s cooled completely add lemon juice.
Adjust the salt after 2 days
