A powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit Myanmar and Thailand on Friday, causing major destruction. At least three people died in Bangkok, and around 100 were trapped when a high-rise building under construction collapsed.

The earthquake's epicenter was near Mandalay, Myanmar’s second-largest city. A 6.4 magnitude aftershock followed, adding to the damage. Myanmar’s government declared a state of emergency in six regions, including Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay. However, the ongoing civil war may delay relief efforts.

Shocking photos show collapsed buildings, broken streets, and panicked residents. The Red Cross is facing difficulties due to damaged power lines, making it harder to reach the affected areas.
