It’s always such a pleasure to play music by Johann Sebastian Bach,so I’d like to start the new year with
the two Bourrées from the third cello suite,BWV 1009,in a beautiful arrangement by my son Johan.
I can’t help getting an image of Bach coming out from the Thomas church in Leipzig where some
musicians are playing dance music outside in the square.
When the second Bourrée starts it’s like the sun suddenly disappears behind
some clouds but of course starts shining again when we hear Bourrée 1 the second time.
My imagination…
