Описание: Rabat is a small town in the west of Malta with about 12,000 inhabitants. The name in translation means suburb, since for centuries it was a suburb of the old capital of Malta, Mdina. The town lives on tourism and agriculture. Only one street and a park separate it from Mdina. You can also see Rabat: Catacombs of St. Paul and St. Agatha which served as tombs during the Roman Empire, Domus Romana is archaeologically famous for its mosaics, St. Paul's Cave is the holy place from which St. Paul spread Christianity in Malta, Wignacourt Museum is famous for its exhibition of Punic-Roman portraits ,sculpture..Near Rabat is the picnic area of Chadwick's Lakes and Dingli Cliff.
