Ascending Beinn Ime and Wild Camping Near a Waterfall | Hiking in the Arrochar Alps

Описание: We tackled our first ever Munro, Beinn Ime (1011 m) whilst carrying our camping kit so we could spend the night in the wild!

We ascended from the main route to The Cobbler, allowing us to also pass Beinn Narnain on our way up. This ascent is very straightforward and we both managed it with our packs without an issue. Pack weights were approximately 12 kg ( Fred) and 9 kg (Eva). We decided to camp back down along the river, and found a lovely spot near a waterfall. We were testing out new meals for this trip, specifically the Firepot meals in compostable packaging - look out for a video of our opinions and tips on these soon!

This area of Scotland is extremely popular with day walkers, as well as the occasional camper visiting Beinn Ime, Narnain and The Cobbler. As such, there is a large amount of dropped litter on the route up. We collected and took back as much as we could, but as always #leavenotrace and #leavenotrash. If you are lucky enough to be able to enjoy the wilderness, please try to leave it in a better state than you found it.
