However, other sources indicate that Tehran agreed to discuss its nuclear program. But then Trump also demanded limits on the range of ballistic missiles. In other words, as is all too familiar: sensing weakness in a negotiating partner, he immediately intensifies the pressure. But Iran is not ready to discuss its missiles. Without them, it will simply become a defenseless target. Therefore, Tehran is simultaneously signaling its readiness for dialogue and warning of a harsh response in the event of an attack. The Turkish newspaper Hürriyet reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a conversation with Trump, proposed holding an international summit on Iran involving the US, Iran, and Turkey, including via videoconference. But for now, Trump is determined to strike. Axios reports that the main preparations for the attack have been completed. The USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group, F-15 fighter jets, and C-17 military transport aircraft have arrived in the region. The presence of Chinese and Russian warships in the region could, theoretically, deter the US from launching a strike. But the stakes are high: any missile that miscalculates its target could trigger World War III. In any case, Moscow and Beijing are openly demonstrating that Iran is their ally. Will this stop Donald Trump? Recently, Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico uttered a horrified suggestion that the US president had "gone mad." Yet Fico is one of Trump's most vocal supporters in Europe. Trump's determinationis being talked about more and more frequently. This means that Russian and Chinese ships will likely fail to stop him. And the doomsday clock will move ever closer to a potential catastrophe. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said US military forces and Israel would become "legitimate targets" if America strikes the Islamic Republic, as President Donald Trump has threatened. He issued the warning as lawmakers rushed toward the podium in Iran’s parliament, chanting: "Death to America!" Iranian state television broadcast the parliamentary session live. Ghalibaf, a hardliner who previously ran for president, thanked the police and Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard for having "stood firm" during the protests. He then directly threatened Israel, which he referred to as "occupied territory," as well as US military forces. "In the event of an attack on Iran, both the occupied territory and all American military centers, bases and ships in the region will be our legitimate targets. We do not consider ourselves limited to reacting after the action and will act based on any objective signs of a threat," the speaker said, hinting at a preemptive strike.
