Описание: Did PG kill WWE? It's a question that many wrestling fans bring up on a continuous basis. In 2008 WWE shifted all its programming to a parental guidance rating. It was because of that rating that the programming was very different. Instead of the adult themes, coarse language, and sexual nature of programming wrestling fans were used to, the WWE gave fans a more toned-down approach to programming. Characters such as John Cena, Randy Orton & Triple H were much different in their delivery as they had to adhere to the company's new stance on programming. The decision came into effect after WWE CEO Linda McMahon ran for senate, a double homicide & the death of fan-favorite wrestler Eddie Guerrero. The company had a litany of allegations against them from previous years as well. Many wrestlers were dying before the age of 60 due to suspected steroid use & CTE. So the decision was made to go PG and bring an appeal to WWE overall. This time frame followed an extremely beloved timeframe known as the attitude era, the absolute apex of the professional wrestling boom. Fans have been turned away due to WWE's new kid-friendly and "boring" approach to network television. But was it PG that killed the product or was the drop an inevitable one that was on the horizon regardless?.
