At a turning point in crucial political landscape in not only South-North Korea relations and North Korea-U.S. relations, but also in achieving denuclearization and establishing peace on the Korean Peninsula, there is a need for close communication with the international community, including the U.S., and to continuously expand dialogue on peace to build permanent peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula. There are various thoughts and ideas regarding the international situation
surrounding the Korean Peninsula around North Korean nuclear issue and sanctions. And in such uncertain external environment, the session invites a group of wise leaders (‘wise men’) on the issue of the Korean Peninsula from home and abroad to improve inter-Korean relations and to engage in dialogue with North Korea by discussing the challenges and opportunities of the Korean Peninsula from the failure of the North Korea-U.S. Hanoi Summit to the Biden administration and seeking solutions for the Moon administration’s pursuit of the peace process.
