With crowds packed into the popular spots, I moved off on my own and found quiet water — and my own fish. In just an hour of bank fishing, the gamble paid off.
As the sun went down, I made my way to the campground for a simple night of truck camping, cooking dinner, relaxing by the fire, and enjoying the kind of peace you only get outdoors.
Sometimes you don’t need a long trip — just a rod, a fire, and a night outside.
The next morning started the right way… fresh coffee before heading back to reality.
