Just to clarify this is NOT dangerous in any way! Quite normal procedure, there is at least a 1,000ft vertical separation. This happens
on a daily basis with several aircraft worldwide! Nothing dangerous at all, just beautiful to see!

I was on-board a Norwegian 787 Dreamliner, EI-LNG from London Gatwick to New York JFK and for a good half an hour while across the Atlantic I had noticed we were catching up with other traffic. So I started filming and waited for it to come into sight... This is what I caught. I did a playback on flightradar24 after our arrival and from what I gather the Virgin flight was VS11 from Heathrow to Boston at 39,000ft while I was at 40,000ft in the Dreamliner.
A great sight, and one not missed by many on the aircraft! Caught lots of peoples attention also taking pictures and videos of it.
