Here it is: The very first episode of "Behind the Glass, With a Glass"! And boy am I excited! In this video series, I will combine 2 of my favorite things: photography & drinky-poo's. You and me, we're going to sit down for drinks and photography talk. That's what this is.

In each episode I will select a beer, whiskey, spirit, mix drink, or wine. Then I'm going to enjoy that beverage while I talk photography. I'll tell you what I'm tasting. I'll tell you why I'm drinking it. I'll tell you something about photography. It's going to evolve over time, but as part of this series I would like to answer viewer questions (if you got any).

In this first episode, I'm talking light meters while drinking one of my favorite whiskeys: Basil Hayden's Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. It's a delightful bourbon with a smooth finish. As for the light meters, we're looking at my meter of choice: the Pentax Digital Spot Meter and comparing it to your garden variety Sekonic combination reflected/incident meter. I'll talk about why I prefer the Pentax option and what are the drawbacks of the Sekonic reflected meter.
