Hanging Rock Was Packed -No Occupancy on the Rock -Hanging Rock State Park Danbury NC

Описание: Hanging Rock has trails to waterfalls and rock outcrops overlooking mountains and the piedmont. There are 20+ miles of hiking trails, mountain bike trails, and horse trails. Swimming and boating is available on the lake in season. Fishing is available year round on the lake and Dan River. The park has an access to Dan River for boating and tubing. Other outdoor recreation opportuities surround the park in Stokes County. Old Salem, Pilot Mountain State Park, and the Blue Ridge Parkway are less than an hour's drive.

The front park entrance gate locks at night. Gate combination will not be given out. All guests not staying overnight will need to be out before closing time. Overnight guests cannot exit gate until opening time. If you have a medical emergency call 911. The 911 dispatchers can call rangers and EMS over the radio to assist you. If cell signal is poor, an emergency landline phone is located in the campground at the Self-Check-In Kiosk. Free Wi-Fi is located on the deck and parking lot in front of the visitor center and does not require a password. A camp host is stationed at campsite 42. This is a volunteer that serves as a point of contact for you during the night for emergencies.

Park Hours:
December - February: 7am - 7pm
March, April: 7am - 9pm
May, June, July, August, September: 7am - 10pm
October: 7am - 9pm
November: 7am - 8pm

Check-in is at the “Self-Check-In Kiosk” in the campground. To check in, simply locate the Self-Check-In Kiosk. Hanging in the kiosk is a pink mirror pass assigned to your reservation. Place your pink mirror pass on your vehicle rear view mirror and proceed to your assigned site. Each vehicle staying overnight MUST have a pink mirror pass. Vehicles without pink mirror passes could be cited and towed. Check-in time is 4 P.M. Check-out time for campsites is 3 P.M. Check-out time for cabins is 10 A.M.

Reservation holder will be held accountable for property damage.
