New Zealand Ferry Crossing / North to South Island / Wellington to Picton

Our New Zealand travels continue as we take the Interislander ferry and cross the Cook Strait from the north island to the south island. The ferry boat leaves from Wellington and takes around four hours to arrive in Picton.
We dropped the hire car off at the rentals near the ferry port, took the ferry as foot passengers and then hired a new vehicle once in Picton on the South Island. Easiest way and we had no hassles!
We then drove to our next destination, Kaiteriteri, a beautiful beach resort, where we got to relax and enjoy our new apartment, our accommodation for the next two nights!
