SOLO trip to BABOON VALLEY (I Visited a Local House - Kacha Makaan)

Baboon Valley is a group of vast plains located in Neelum Valley, Kashmir, at a height of 3,870 metres. I visited solo, from Islamabad. This trip was organized by @adraveline. How to reach Baboon Valley:

From Islamabad to Keran it takes 8 hours then Baboon Valley’s distance from Keran is a 4-hour jeep track. So total Baboon Valley’s distance from Islamabad is 12 hours.

You can reach Keran/Dowarian via your own car or public transport, then book a jeep from there to reach Baboon Valley Kashmir. It’s best to leave early in the morning as Baboon Valley’s weather is unpredictable. If it starts to rain, the jeep track becomes dangerous due to slippery mud, and you'll have to camp there.

Best Time to Visit: Spring, Summer & Autumn. In Winter Baboon Valley’s temperature drops to freezing and it becomes inaccessible due to snow.
