Janga is principally a women's dance performed by almost all Sisaala communities.
It is a celebratory dance performed during festive occasions; marriage ceremonies, naming ceremonies, festivals.
However it is also performed during the funerals of elderly women to celebrate their lives.
It is accompanied by a set of talking drums, side drums and bell.
This particular video was captured from Peplime, a community in the Sissala West District.
