Today we will cover the basics of our favourite method of investing, the Couch Potato Investment Portfolio. The Couch Potato Investment portfolio is based on passive index investing that doesn't try to beat the market, but simply match it.

This method of investing is quite hands off depending on how you want to implement it. We like because

1) It's simple, the easier the more likely you will stick to it
2) It's flexible, you can make it as easy or as complex as you want it
3) It's inexpensive, low management expense ratio
