Took a trip to Bramber Castle, an historic Norman castle. It was built shortly after the Norman conquest. The castle overlooks the river Adur, the castle was owned by the de Braose family from 1073-1450.
Much of castle has gone but some ruins still remain today, one of its main features is the impressive 14 metres high tower with still stands. It’s also surrounded by a defensive ditch which was probably built when the castle was.
