Kayaking Down the Danube on a Great Sunny Day in February

Описание: Kayaking for 38 Km down the Danube River, from Pietrosani to Giurgiu on a perfect sunny February day. After leaving from Bucharest, we first left one car at the end of the tour, then headed to the launch point in Pietrosani, Teleorman. After a bit of off-roading from the village to the banks of the Danube we found the water few meters above the average level which meant a better speed for the effort.
We had a very warm weather for this season, 17C outside and 5C in the water. Nature seems to revive, we've seen green spots in the forest, wild ducks and cormorants.
We had a delicious picnic break on one little isle.
It is lovely to end our tour by daylight and have some fun on the strong currents under the Friendship Bridge.
