In this video, we visited Sumur Buddha temple and also Sand dunes in Sumur in Nubra Valley. After returning from Siachen Base camp in the evening, we went to the temple and the sand dunes. Sumur is really a hidden gem of Nubra valley and is very less explored. In this video, we tried to inform you about the geographic importance of Sumur and places that can be visited from here. We were guided by the councilor of Sumur and he told us that Sumar can be the base of travelers who wish to visit Siachen. Also he informed us about the wildlife of Sumur, the snow leopards and hundreds of migratory birds that visit Sumur. Standing in the sand dunes with mountains on all sides was an lifetime experience.
